Dear readers,
I will be writing every Sunday, and I will try to have a book review and a “short story of the week” every week. Here is the first one:
“Accident Prone”
Yawn!” When I woke up, I had a feeling that it was going to be a bad day. I got up, walked over to my desk to get my watch, and I stubbed my right toe. Owwwwww! I thought. Oh, man, that hurt! I knew I should have been more careful ! My safety teacher, Mr. Gud (pronounced “good”), always says “Be carefool around desks! Zey can be dangeroos!” I should really pay more attention in cla- -I noticed my desk light on. I went over to turn it off, when I noticed the bulb was misplaced. I reached out to fix it, and… —Sizzle!— Ouch! I burned my right finger! I quickly hopped away. I went over to my clothing drawer, and changed myself. Then, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Eeyowwww! I squirted toothpaste in my right eye! I walked out the bathroom door nonchalantly, after I was done, and squashed my right toe, AGAIN! I went downstairs for breakfast, and burned my toast! I went to pick it up, and burned myself again, too! Luckily, it was Saturday. I told my mom that I would be staying in bed all day. Suddenly, with a jolt, I woke up from the nightmare. I sighed in relief. It was just a dream! So, I got out of bed, and walked toward my desk. Ow! I stubbed my left toe! Then, the same things that happened to me in my dream happened to me then and there. Sigh… looks like dreams and reality are on opposite sides.
